How do you make money?

What if no attorney takes it?
If no attorney offers to take it, you have lost nothing and paid nothing — and you will know where you stand.

What if I lose — do I owe the attorney?
Injury attorneys here work on contingency: their fee is a share of what you win, so if you win nothing, there is no fee to pay them. Ask each attorney about case costs separately — things like filing fees and records — because those are handled differently from firm to firm, and the attorney you choose has to explain their agreement to you in writing before you sign it.
Who gets my information?
Attorneys see your case without your name, address or phone number. Your identity goes to one attorney — the one you choose — and to nobody else.
Why would an attorney charge less than the going rate?
Two reasons, and neither is a discount. First, they can see the case properly before they commit — what happened, the injuries, the treatment, the coverage — so they are not pricing in the risk of the unknown. Second, the work of gathering and organizing all of that is already done, so they start further along than they would with a phone call.
Can an attorney lower their offer later?
No. Once an attorney makes an offer they cannot make it worse. If more information arrives that helps your case, they can improve it — only ever in your favor.
Does a lower fee mean a worse attorney?
Not necessarily. A lower fee means an attorney wants your case. You are comparing their experience and focus side by side at the same time — and you are free to pick the higher fee if that is the attorney you want.
What if my case is small?
Tell us anyway. Attorneys decide for themselves what they will take on, and it costs you nothing to find out.
What if I already spoke to a lawyer?
That is fine — we ask early so it is out of the way. Being represented already does not stop you looking.
